Remedios is sailing smartly toward the U.S. coast - expected to arrive under the (by now) expert sailing skills of Pat and Tom. They are expected to arrive in Riviera Beach, FL sometime Sunday morning.
Michele, Peggy, Rob and Mary invite all blog readers to send a message or post a comment to join us in welcoming them home. They have VERY much appreciated all the notes and support they received during the six months they've been gone. It truly made their trip extra special to know that so many family members, friends, and even people they don't know, cared so much that they have followed their Great Sailing Adventure.
Feel free to post a blog comment, or send an email to: remedios.ocean.voyage@gmail.com
It will be fun to hear their personal stories about the 4+ weeks on the open ocean return trip. Check back to the blog for their reports. It certainly has been an adventure!

ReplyDeleteCongrats and welcome home from your long journey. I have been away for about a month on the posts, fun to read you're almost to the end of your journey when checked back in. The most fun 6 months I have had reading about your travels -- better than any book or reality TV show! Thanks for the great writing and entertainment. Will Santa be waiting at the docks for you? Merry Christmas!

ReplyDeleteJourney's End lyrics
The wind is blowing fast, straight in his face
Another sunset has passed
The beauty of the sea, A spell to his mind
But deep inside he feels doubt
[Bridge:]
How many miles to go finding his dreams
How many years so slowly passed away
His will unbreakable. it keeps him alive
And always he screams
[Chorus:]
Nothing can stop my way
I'm gonna sail on till my very last day
Nothing, when God is my friend
I will finish my quest to the journey's end
To sail a unique ride to conquer the sea
Is the sailorman's pride
Shall his name live on?
His wish for immortality is strong
But often paid with death
Congratulations on your daring conquest of the briny deep. The Atlantic winds shall always carry the name Remedios.
With admiration and respect,
Ray
Pat and Tom,
ReplyDeleteAll good things must...
Be shared with others. Welcome home and thank you for sharing your wonderful journey. It was such a delight to read your posting and follow your GPS locations. You will relive this experience for days to come and many of us will relish hearing your stories first hand. Be prepared for winter shock, it's supposed to snow 5-6" today. Pat, I hope you keep your beard, otherwise you will have quite the sailor's tan.
Be well!

ReplyDeleteWelcome home! I can't wait for the reality tv series... or at least a recap of the adventures.
ReplyDeleteBe safe and see you soon!
So soon!
ReplyDeleteWhat's next?
Glad you made it back safely!
ReplyDeleteWelcome Back Sailors! You’ve had one heck of a ride and it’s been fun to watch so I couldn’t imagine how fun it would have been to experience with you. As you head north up the east coast, if you decide to make a pit stop in or around the Baltimore/DC area, give me a call and Danielle and I would be delighted to meet up for a meal or glass of wine. Tom, I’m looking forward to seeing you in January at our annual sales meeting if nothing else. You know, at that place you work at. :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of the trip and be safe!

Welcome back Tom and Pat! It has been a blast experiencing your trip through the internet. It made crawling into our warm bed overlooking White Bear Lake just that much more comfortable each night.
